A nut is a fastener, in this case a hexagonal shape with the size of a turnkey hexagon. It can be used in conjunction with a bolt, screw, stud for tightening threaded connections. Universal fasteners. With the help of nuts, mechanical assembly is carried out in construction, mechanical engineering, automotive and other fields of activity. The standard sizes of nuts are regulated by the standards. In our country, along with GOST standards, DIN standards have also become widespread.
DIN 934 nut
This standard, developed by the German Institute of Normals, applies to hex nuts of normal height and accuracy class B. Its Russian counterpart – GOST 5915 – 70. They differ only in some standard sizes in height and in the size of a turnkey hexagon. Basic parameters for product selection:
- D– thread diameter. The standard range includes threads from M3 to M72. Our company offers the most common range of M3 – M30.
- P– thread pitch. This is the distance between the turns of the cutting. Each diameter has its own basic pitch, which is used in general cases. Plus two or three small ones for special nuts and precise threaded connections.
- M – height. It is set as a standard for each standard size.
- S – hexagon size «turnkey». Its own for each thread diameter.
Material: stainless steel A2 and A4
A2 (08X18H10) – stainless and non-toxic steel. It is not magnetic. A2 steel products are used:
- installation construction works (for example: stained glass windows, facades).
- manufacture of fences.
- installation of pumps.
- oil and gas production.
Nuts made of A2 and A4 steels belong to the category of high-strength: respectively, the 70th and 80th strength classes.
