DIN 127 stainless washer

The DIN 127 stainless washer (spring washer, Grover washer) is a single coil of a left-hand spring. This type of fastener strengthens the fit of the parts for better load distribution, and the edges of the disconnected ring under the action of forces cut into the surface of the fastener, preventing unscrewing. The main purpose of spring washers is to increase the reliability of the connection, in particular, thread locking in conditions of static and dynamic (reversible, vibration, shock) loads. 

The DIN 127 steel washer is marked according to the diameter of the threaded part (nuts, bolts, studs, screws, etc.). ALFA-STAR supplies this type of products in the range of M3 – M36, which corresponds to a thread diameter from 3.1 to 36.5 mm. The DIN 127 washer is made in A2 (AISI 304 steel)  and A4 (AISI 316). The A2 version (food grade stainless steel) has high strength, heat resistance, corrosion resistance when used outdoors, in humid and acidic environments of low and medium aggressiveness. The environmental friendliness of the material allows the product to be used in technological processes with high hygienic requirements: food, pharmaceutical, chemical industry, instrument making and other industries. The A4 version (the so-called marine steel) has increased strength, antimagnetic and anticorrosive properties and can be operated in aggressive acidic, alkaline environments, seawater, in solutions and gases containing chlorine.
